The HCM City People of Committee has issued a plan to organize festivals to welcome New Year 2009 with the theme HCM City Civilization - Modern, Humane, Sentimental. HCM City Festival offers cultural and ethnic art color. It will harmonize between tradition and modernity to respond the city urban civilized lifestyle. It will be shown through healthy entertainment and art programs to attract people. The festival will open at 8 PM on December 26 and will last until January 1, 2009 in the September 23 Park of District 1. The New Year 2009 art performance program will begin at 8 PM on December 31, 2008.
